# Automated Alerts

> Automate delivery of monitored item alerts using hyped mode

### Hyped Mode[](#hyped-mode)

* **Automated Alerts**: With Hyped Mode turned on, your team gets automatic updates about items that are in high demand.

* **Manual Control**: You can still add or remove items from your lists manually, giving you flexibility.

* **Mute Feature**: If there's an item you don't want updates on, you can mute it. This stops notifications for that item and lets you keep control over what you monitor.

#### Understanding Notification Types[](#understanding-notification-types)

There are three main types of notifications you'll encounter:

1. **Regular Alert**

   * **Hyped Mode Off**: You manage everything manually—add or remove items as you please without any automated alerts.

   * **No Mute Needed**: Since everything is manual, there's no need to mute or unmute items.

2. **Hyped Alert**

   * **Hyped Mode On**: Automatic alerts for items not on your list but need to be muted if you don't want them.

   * **Mute Control**: You can mute or unmute items at any time.

3. **Muted Alert**

   * **Hyped Mode With Mute**: Even with Hyped Mode on, if an item is muted but still on your list, you'll get alerts for it.

   * **List vs. Mute**: The list's items get priority. To stop alerts for a muted item, it needs to be removed from the list.
