# Discord Setup

> Steps for setting up integrating a discord server with monitors

The following steps outline the process for setting up the companion bot for Discord:

1. [Invite](https://discord.com/api/oauth2/authorize?client_id=697893232511549501\&permissions=8\&scope=bot) the bot to your server

2. Create a role called **Blaze** in your server

3. Assign the role to owners and staff members.

4. Get started with using slash commands `/`
